I'm signing papers on this truck tomorrow, FedEx'ing them back, and then getting on an airplane to go get it.

I doubt you'll be able to drive it, but perhaps you could tell me if the pics are hiding something super obvious, like rust... or whatever else.

Thanks folks!

If you're already signing papers why do you need someone to go look at it?

I'd do it but I just can't tomorrow, sorry

I do acknowledge that it is a bit late to be concerned about it.... But I figure I can plan to use my fuel $$ to fund a few more nights in a hotel and utilize the return leg of my flight if it's cancer ridden.... It was only a thought. No worries 'bout tomorrow, thanks anyways.

I'm from this part of the world, rust shouldn't be to big of an issue on this year of truck we don't salt our roads, Oregon also has a 72 hour clause where you can break a contract with no penalties so maybe time that to your benefit. If I can get away I'll see if I can take a look at it, it's about 30 minutes away.

I could probably stop by after work tomorrow and just give it a look over. I really doubt you will find rust but can look anyway.

If you can, great. If not, no worries. I'm glad to hear about the lack of rust. At most, I can have a heads of how/if the pics are deceiving.

BTW, not sure what time "after work" is for you, but there's a high probability I'll be 30,000ft up at that time, so just post up or PM me what you see/think of the truck if you go. I'll check it on my phone when I get close enough to the ground for service.

Yes sir! That's where I'm stationed -- for now. Have PCS orders to McChord. The Hills are phenomenal. I love this area, so long as I'm OUTSIDE Rapid's city limits sign. This town leaves a lot to be desired, but the base isn't bad and the outdoor activities available are first class.

I stopped and looked at it, they have it under the tent with all the sales decals pulled off and washed. No rust that I saw. Looks like a dog used the rear bumper as a chew toy. The radio buttons are worn off, the right side access step is broken off but the driver side is there. Looks like it has played in the mud or spent a lot of time on a gravel road. Some mud caked on the frame and on the rear axle spring hangers. I didn't get in it or pop the hood because nobody was around and it was set aside from the other vehicles. Body looks to be straight and in decent shape and interior looked pretty clean. Hubs locked with ease.

Just found this a bit late. Oh well, jason(poorboy) is 2 miles closer anywho. Probably a loggers rig explaining the chewed bumper(saws and cables) mud and evidence of gravel road travel.
