Since I didn't work last year I don't think I can avoid an interview but since I already did 2 summers maybe I can.

the back yes, but ass no. i'm obviously good with sitting on it all day without issue

i seriously love forklift work and it amazes me how many people can't drive them to save their lives. shit's stupid easy. the job description mentioned yard trucks too, i haven't drove any of those lift trucks before but they look like they'd be a blast if they have the type i'm thinking of. big 4 wheel steer deals that are more tractor like than fork truck like. i'm always up for trying out new rigs. should've got into the operators union with my buddy when i had the chance out of h/s.

Depends on where you drive a lift. Last job was inside and we had 8' aisles and 7' 11" lifts. Got to be fun if the pallets where not all the way on the forks or racks.

extend a boom forklifts are easier to pick stuff with than shop forks, imo. You can just get in trouble with them by picking too heavy when you are extended.

i've used all of these type as well as about 50 different regular sit down lift trucks. i'm comfortable with all in confined spaces, but i used to hate switching from one to the other at my old job. i wanna say it's the stand up regular fork lift has the steering reversed and it used to fawk me up from time to time, but i've never wrecked or broke anything with any kind of trucks.

are these the ones you are talking about? never ran one before.

the big tractor like ones i'm thinking they have are like this and i would love to try one out.

i'm familiar with all sorts of genie booms and man lifts, so it's not like any of the equipment will really throw me for a loop. man i can't wait for tomorrow. the anticipation is killing me. just hope all goes well....

When I worked for a Bobcat dealer we got a 28' trailer in and they loaded the implements on the floor. We didn't have a dock and the driver was like HTF are we going to unload this.

I told him I'd get a lift. He was like how the hell is a lift going to get them.

Pretty sweet to reach all the way in and lift the implements and then retract

there's nothing arrogant about having a 10 year clean track record on multiple different machines in several different facilities. the last place i worked where i was driving lifts for most of my days was in a 130 year old factory that literally had no lights in half the building, and luckily enough for me i worked 2nd shift the floors were wood slats and missing in a lot of places and i was driving through crooked stacks of 3 and 4 high gaylord boxes full of plastic scrap. it was definitely a learning curve to get it figured out safely and still be efficient. here's a sky view of the place. it just burned down. the westclox building in peru illinois.

i wish i could get you better pictures to show you this abomination of a "warehouse". i could have paid osha's salary for at least a full year just off of all of the violations in this place. just for future references, if you deal in plastic scrap stay away from a company called E and R international. some of the most assbackwards retarded asian pricks i've ever met.
