Best way to sell a domain?

I have a couple domains that I picked up for different business ideas, but ultimately decided not to peruse. What's the best way to sell these? They are not really high dollar domains, but I think they have a good value (doesn't every seller?).

I think they should sell around the 1,500 to 3,000 mark but maybe I'm kidding myself with the pricing.

Also noticed, there is not a good place to value domains. There are all kinds of places that will evaluate what they are worth according to the traffic, but not really anything that values them for the words.

I was approached and $500 was too much for the one I owned.

I wouldn't pay the price you are expecting, unless it was a VERY compelling URL.

If people aren't contacting you asking to buy them, they are worth about what you pay each year to keep them registered.

what domain names?

Something like cars.com or homerepairs.com is going to be worth a lot more than jacksautorepairshopinshelbynorthcarolinayouknowthe onebythehighway.org

I just listed them on sedo two days ago. Before that they were parked at go daddy and i have them privately registered. It would have been hard for someone to contact me directly.

Kind of in the same boat, been sitting on suvevent.com for a long time now.

Thinking of selling it, web site appraisal tools say it's worth $20,000+

I think it's worth more than a couple grand though, simply because the shortness and simplicity of the domain name. But it's a matter of finding the right customer. I'll just keep paying renewal fees for the foreseeable future, don't want to give them name up either.

Both seem decent. For the first one, I would be proactive. If I had to guess, there has to be a decent demand for that with homebrew stores, or you might get lucky and find a brewhouse or microbrew bar by that name.
