I'm not sure about other forms of TV, but we provide IPTV at my job and our middleware tracks what channels are watched the most, at what times, for how long, etc. It allows us to do local ad insertion on the channels that get the most views, tell our local ad customers how many people are watching those channels at what times, etc. FYI, the average ppv porn movie is watched for 13 minutes.

Yep. "We" make more money off of porn than all the other ppvs combined or local ad sales. I'm not sure exactly what the dollar amount it, but last I heard, we were making a little over 40 grand a month in local ad sales, and porn ppv was blowing (no pun intended) that out of the water!

i hate their stupid little acting bits. kinda reminds me of american chopper. i used to like to watch it cause of the builds and the realistic arguing between the son and dad but soon as it started getting scripted i quit watching.

pawn stars is starting to get that way. i just like seeing the old crap and the haggling. soon as chumlie starts breaking stuff or being a storyline dumbass i just change the channel.

A friend of mine was on Pawn Stars. He said that they had the "expert" look at his item. The producer came out and made the offer of X$ for your item, are you interested. He told them no. Then they kick everyone out of the store. Offer a hand full of people to stay as extras. Porducers tell him that Rick will offer you x$ you counter back with x$$$, back and forth untill you turn down the offer. Then they act it out.

He did say that the expert guy was very cool and Chum Lee was very smart and did most of the internet research.
