Take it this wasn't the average handgun job. That is a hard spot to be in, dark, gas, automatic rifle of sorts. Would be hard for anyone to even attempt to stop the guy. Makes me remember I need to renew my CCW.

key point! law abiding citizens are not allowed to carry in a theater. A law breaker walks in with an arsenal, knowing most likely no one would be armed in there to shoot back

That was what I was getting at. The law puts law abiding citizens at a disadvantage over criminals, so the only recourse is to break the law in order to have a chance against criminals.

I look at things a lot different than most. I don't feel the suspect would have been aprehended. I believe he would have been shot trying to resist.

On the same note, if one of mine was a victim. I could see trying remove the rest of his genetic material from the face of this planet. Granted the police have him custody. It is unlikely that guy has any children, but if he does - take them out. Then take the parents out. Then you do the age old attack and take out as many as you can at the funeral.

I am sorry, you can't hurt a guy like that. He has committed himself to be a martyr. He wants to “sacrifice” himself. He will feel the pain when he is in prison hearing about his family be killed because of his actions.

Once he took away my family, I have nothing left to lose. I am in the same boat as him and am a lot smarter than he is. He was on a mission to kill people, I would be on a mission to systematic eliminate his genetic material.
