How to make snowblower throw the snow further.

Snow blower is getting kind of old, still runs strong though. It just doesn't throw the snow as far as it used to. Any tips to get this thing throwing it like it used to. It's a 2 stage craftsman 5/22.

Fawk with the governor to get some more rpms. Make sure everything is lubed and spinning freely. Move somewhere with lighter snow.

Chances are if you look at the impellor for the thrower you see a huge gap between the fins and the housing. Cut some strips of rubber or plastic and bolt them to each fin to get tighter clearance to the housing. You will be amazed at the difference. I cut up a crazy carpet and did this and now mine throws about 50% further. Been working for 3 years so far.

These are supposed to help.
SNOWBLOWER IMPELLER KIT

Other than that, oil on the chute helps, and not bogging the engine too much. Take a smaller pass or go slower if you can.
