I've been watching CHARTWeb Live Traffic in Flash Streaming Format Video Page

For the past ten minutes there hasn't been a time without a biker heading towards DC...

I see another poster said he's here with a group, but unless everyone's coming late, it's not going to be 800,000.

I watched the local news last night and this morning and not a single mention about this ride.

We'll see, but it looking like a whole bunch of nothing at 9:15 am.
They were up allnight drinking and tuning their bikes. Give them a few.

Far from it. My work in the DC area is focused on making government smaller, with fewer regulations and markets more free.

You should be accurate with your hate.

Then a one-day inconvenience resulting from a gigantic display of patriotism and balls shouldn't bug you too much.

While there are a ton of hipsters riding around the city, a shitload of people commute in the DC area because the metro sucks and the traffic sucks more.

Glad this got turned into a cyclist hating thread. I'd ride through the city with the bikers, but I'm sure I wouldn't be welcome on my bike, which is probably worth as much as most of the harleys riding into the city.

So you were completely off base with your initial rant? Or wrong now? Or jumping to conclusions to early on both accounts?

Your multi-faceted bitching about this event is kind of cunty. Just saying.

Just going around the 495 beltway in Landover, a few miles outside of DC and I can't not see a motorcycle. Every direction. A few more than usual helicopters passing over today, too.

EDIT: AND WHO GIVES A FUCK ABOUT SOME EXTRA TRAFFIC.

Your multi-faceted bitching about this event is kind of cunty. Yes, it was. I formed an opinion based on incomplete information. That said, I still believe it was unrealistic of the organizers to think they would get the NPS to shut down streets and lights on a weekday. Having said that, the riders seem to have the best of intentions. Just saying.
Mustering outside the city and then coming in after rush hour seems like a good attempt at not clusterfucking traffic. I appreciate that

I commute by bicycle, in fact currently a bicycle is my only form of transportation and I log over 90 miles a week on it which makes me self reliant and in good physical shape.

In no way does it make me a liberal, tree hugger or a hipster. Also if you will look at the shower thread I have stated I shower at least once a day if not twice, so kindly go fuck yourself with your broad paintbrush

Here's an update from WTOP.

Apparently not everyone will enter the city and they won't do it as a single, large group.

Eric Zern, a ride organizer from Hagerstown, Md., tells WTOP bikers plan to ride one time on the Outer Loop of the Capital Beltway from Prince George's County to Montgomery County and then into Virginia, before arriving back where they started.

They reportedly will not go into D.C. as a large group.

"There are so many motorcycles that trying to go through Washington, D.C., would not have worked," Zern says.

It will be up to individual riders whether they choose to enter the city after the Beltway ride.

"That way we're going to have much smaller groups of motorcycles coming through the city and they won't lock things down so bad," Zern says.

Their Facebook page is now reporting over 1 million (insert Austin Powers reference) bikes in DC.
