Old cars found in Foss Lake Ok, not here yet?

I have been following this on FB and figured somebody on here would have already said they had snagged a good fishing lure on one of them ten years ago.

Pretty interesting. I was looking on Google Earth and one news article says the cars were found at the boat ramp a the marina. That doesnt look like it was ever a road.

I was reading that last night...it's amazing that no one ever found those cars considering how long they were down there.
Anyone familiar with the area?

There is a lot of salt in the water in this part of the country so there won't be anything left of the cars after that long.
What happened is pretty common in that part of Oklahoma and Texas. All of the lakes are man made. When they fill they cover farm and county roads. Some of the roads are torn up well before the water and some aren't.Some are used as boat ramps on both sides of the lake. Some are just fenced off at the water and some just end at the water and become a will known hang out on weekend nights. It is easy for a car to be going 55+ at night and just drive off in to the water. This part of the country is in a bad drought. These aren't the first cars found like this. There was a car found in Lake Ray Roberts that belonged to a local college student that was found after seven years.

I've been on that lake once.

I'm sure it's extremely low right now.

Those cares are in better shape than that Plymouth Belvedere that was sealed up in a time capsule.

Unlikely foul play... Tards drive off boat ramps all of the time. Shit, just a couple of months ago didn't someone call 911 while they were sinking.... they found them still in their car at the bottom of a boat ramp.

Did their Apple maps app tell them it was the directions to grandma's house?

They sealed it up using state of the art techniques (for the time) and sealed that inside a concrete vault. The car was brand new when it was put in. It was in just as bad, if not worse, shape than the camaro that has been sitting on the bottom of a lake for a few decades

Yeah, I realize it's because the Belvedere was also exposed to air, but it still amuses me.

Well at least far enough to sink and drown.

The folks unsealing the time capsule facial expressions once they first glanced inside must of been priceless.

New Jersey I think. It was a weird deal, they had just got done getting out of one mess and then got lost and drove off a ramp into the ocean, iirc.
