Do lizards give live birth or hatch from eggs?

I was wondering if lizards give live birth or do they hatch from eggs like other reptiles? I caught this guy for a moment while watering the plants. There are quite a few around the outside of the house right now about this size. It is just a regualr desert lizard nothing too special I just thought I would catch for a picture and release to keep eating more bugs and grow bigger.

The only lizards that live-birth are left-wing liberals. Pretty certain they are born that way.

Almost all Lizards are Oviparious(sp) (lay eggs) although a very few of them are what is called Ovoviparous (sp) these have eggs but they hatch inside the mom so it looks like she gives live birth. Rattlesnakes that have live young are an example of this.
the last type like humans is Viviporous (sp) these are animals that have live babies that where never in an egg.
