Marine EFI Conversion--4.3 Mercruiser TBI swap?

We've got a boat w/a '95 4.3 Mercruiser I/O that has a 4 barrel on it (an AFB, IIRC). Its overdue for a tuneup, and being the carb-hater that I am, I got to thinking about putting a TBI setup on it. I've done a couple TBI swaps on trucks, but am not too familiar with marine stuff. Would there be any major problems with putting an S-10 TBI setup on this thing? The only issues that really come to mind are O2 sensor location (due to the water cooled manifolds), and the corrosion issue. Obvioulsy I would need to seal up the computer somehow, but that doesn't seem too hard. I'm not having much luck on Google, so I thought I'd try here.

Be careful. Use of non USCG fuel system components will usually void your insurance.
It took Mercruiser years to make a system that worked right so it's not going to be easy.

Good point. Weren't the early EFI Chevy powered boats TBI? I've never looked up close, but I was under the impression it was the same unit.

The early years were 454 and 502 only. They weren't worth a shit and most were ripped off and replaced with carbs that made more HP!
