Yesterday I was at a wedding in forresthill.... the day was nice... then some clouds start rolling in.

The ceremony site was outside overlooking some cool stuff. We got to the site at 5pm (wedding party) and the action was supposed to start at 6. If goes from 95 and sunny to 75 and raining... lightning thunder the works. abnormal for this time of year. The rain stops and made the weather perfect for all of us in tux's... knocked the dust down. Turned out perfect. After everything got wrapped up there was some more thunder... then a pretty wicked lightning strike down the hill and over a ridge. A few moments later lots of smoke.... airplane spotter.... units deployed and now everything appears to be burning everywhere. Still really smokey down here in sac now.

Moral of the story is 4x4 vehicles saved the day rather than causing the problem. So put that in your proverbial pipe and smoke it you greenie fuctards

but the greenies want the forest to burn...........they fight to keep cleanup of dead trees that is just fuel for fires

its too bad the usfs has cut back on the fire out look staions over the years. this happens all the time, lighting with little or no rain.

This may have been on red dog road in Grass Valley, there was a relatively good sized fire on Red Dog Rd that was caused by a lighting strike that day!
