I crumble it with my hands as I put it in the pan, then continue to crumble it with a spoon or spatula as I cook it

Yep, just chop it up a bit with the spatula as you cook it.

As you are cooking it in a pan on the stove use a spatula to cut it up. As it cooks it will "crumble" ... Thats how I do it.

I usually start browning it in the pan and just keep mashing it with the spoon to break it up into little bits as it starts to cook. Works pretty well for me, but "Scott cooking well" is a bit of a contradiction, so follow my advice at your own risk.

The longer you cook it, the drier it will get, and the easier it will crumble.

I was having problems getting that ultra fine ground beef too. I think we just had the wrong hardware(non-stick bs). My mom makes it perfect. She used big stainless frying pan and metal spatchula. She said she also adds a little water. Enchiladas will be much better next time!

That's because it's a bad idea unless you want a big gloppy lump of meat.

btw, I can't fault you for not knowing something as basic as how to 'crumble' ground beef (which is akin to boiling water in difficulty) since you are male, and we're cook-tarded by birth, but if your wife doesn't know how to do this, you really should consider firing her.

just turn your kitchen into a game room and be done with it. Eating out would be WAY simpler for you.
