Off-Road Fuel Prices in your area???

What is off-road fuel selling for in your area.

Got some for $1.73 delivered today for our equipment.

red diesel. no taxes on it, which is why it is lower. you are not supposed to run it on the street, since no tax has been paid on it.

Diesel fuel with red die in it. It's to be used for tractors, bulldozers, or other "off road" vehicles. If the DOT catches anyone with traces of red die in the tanks of "on road" vehicles, there is a hefty fine.

why so they still need to sell off road fuel? the tax incentives for using road diesel offset the price difference and it keeps the equipment cleaner. I have, in the past, found that a set of jumper cables and the fuel tanks on a work site can get you as much fuel as you're willing to stand there and pump in the middle of the night.
