Mr.Freilings off-road park near Clayton,Oklahoma

I just got back from Clayton visiting with Mr.Freiling at his home there were rumors floating around that he had sold the property and the park was closed to the public. Not true he said that the gate was closed and locked more now because of some gas wells on the property.
He asured me that the property was open to the public 24/7 365 days a year
he also gave me contact numbers to reach him if the gate happened to be locked so i am passing them on.Very nice man he is a talker.
just thought i would share the info hope it helps.

P.S. when i told him that i had heard that the land had sold he said he was wondering why attendance was down?

Every time we go to Clayton we end up running Green Acres and having a blast, we always talk about hitting Freilings but never make it over there. I guess we need to divide our time a little better.

Clayton OK is some of the best wheeling in the country PERIOD. I wish I could afford to buy the whole damn town and make it my own private playground.

Yes.

I was with a guy, on rocks/cut 44's, he got out of the vehicle, took a long intense look and said "fuck this, we're turning around". I cant even remember what trail it was but i still giggle like a fawking schoolgirl when i think about it.

Good to know! Freiling's place still has some very tough trails and a lot of potential.

Mr.Freiling is a cool dude and he does like to talk, plus he will ride his 4 wheeler around and watch the action. I like landowners like that.

Last time we went we passed the last real exit on Green Mamba extension around 5pm and at 7.15pm we had only made it about 100 yards. We turned around because they shut down the kitchen at the Clayton Country Inn at 8 and we all wanted chicken fried steak.

I talked to Mr. Freilings in February, and he told me that he owned the north side of the mountain as well and he would appreciate a group taking a look at it and cutting it out if there are any good spots on that side.

Green Acres is tougher and has a lot more to offer, but Freiling's can offer some challenges. You can cover a lot of ground and get a lot of wheeling done there.

I've never been to that property, but there is plenty of intense wheeling in Clayton, OK.

You can camp on the airstrip at Green Acres in town. It's primitive camping, but it's free with admission to the park.
