Day 6
Kempo Frustrating to realize that coordination and balance in sports don't necessarily mean you can bend and kick with both legs in any which way.....did get a great sweat and didn't have to stop one single time....looking forward to stretching tomorrow morning.....and then week two starts Saturday

Day 7, X stretch....
Starting to feel a little better and also getting used to some of the stretches.....looking forward to the improvements in flexibility, have a feeling it's gonna feed into better workouts overall and improvement in sports ![]() Gonna reward myself tonight with a cigar ![]() Been about 3 weeks without alcohol.... |

Down 6 pounds as of this morning.
Not a big drop for me but I am noticing a slight physical change but that also may be a mental thing as opposed to an actual change (too close to the source to tell right?). This week has been tough due to schedule changes but I am still in it to win it. I did take a look at the regular vids for P90X and I now realize exactly what it was I got myself into Should have never fired up the Plus workouts, but it is definitely having some results and kicking my ass doing it.

Day 8
Chest and Back This must be the hardest workout, almost threw up again.... Went up a few reps in most exercises....I also need to get a pair of 25's, been using 20's.... Still brutal.....hit about 200 total in Ab X, not bad, but still not where I want to be....good sweat through the entire 75 minutes... |

Finally just ordered the shit a while ago, got a friend who's going to dupe the DVD's and then we're gonna split the costs.
On a seperate note, I've been changing my diet around for the past few weeks, cutting cokes/desserts/most carbs, and I'm down 6 pounds. DVD's should be here by the weekend or early the next week, so the fiance and I'll start then. Got some before pics of me, they're scary, fat, white, and hairy.

a lot of veggies are high in sugars.
i eat a lot of fruits and veggies. to tell you the truth, my diet isnt super restrictive overall. i eat mostly everything i want, in small quantities, and try to make sure i know what im eating. no high frutose corn syrup nothing carbonated no alcohol. try to eliminate all carbs (or severely minimize them) eat smart. ok the sweet and sour pork really isnt the highest on the healthy list, but i wanted to try and make it for the first time. the chicken chowder is all natural stuff. think of the dried fruit and veggied i eat at work! they are packed with natural sugars! thats fine by me, its natures sugar, not a factory's

I'm in week 5 right now. I got a little bored with some of the "non-strength training" workouts - like the Kenpo / stretching / yoga and ones like that, so I've just been doing things on my own those days - climbing or other stuff. I made an improvement to my diet, but definitely haven't cut out the booze. We'll see how it goes. It helps to just have a structured program to follow.

Went on a 3 mile run then did some Core Synergistics since we slacked on the yoga and shit this weekend.
I did ride my quad all day Saturday though. My god I was sore as the first week of the P90X. I guess it was a great workout.

Im still drinking beer on the weekends but im still seeing some changes. If I drink alot ill make sure to go on a few runs during the week.

OK so I got to thinking about it tonight and decided I was going to restart my workout. I decided to start fresh on the P90 classic schedule instead of the P90X+ schedule.
Let me tell you I am glad I did because it is working on areas I was having issues with. I dislocated my shoulder a good one years ago snowboarding up at Big sky and have had issues with rotation off and on because of it, so push ups have always been tricky for me. Tonight I was forced to figure out the proper movement and was able to get my target number plus a couple extra. Pull ups I have never been good at but I did a lot better with the limited amount of pull ups they use in this vid set...maybe a mental thing, maybe not but all we were doing essentially was pull up and push ups so I had a lot of time to figure it out. Definitley feel this workout and feel I pushed a lot harder with it. The Ab ripper is a world different from what the + model has on it too and I like it a lot...maybe swapping back and forth may have some interesting results too
