Cool Giveaway and product review - Lehr propane powered weed eater (2 of them).

So this is a little unusual of a giveaway, but what the heck, right?

Lehr sent us one of their new "eco" weed eaters that run off of a camping propane bottle to try out. I was a little weary at first, figuring it was just some silly "green gimmick". Well we got the weed eater, I quickly put it together, and took it home for a little weed eating, and was pleasantly surprised it was the real deal. I pulled one of my used camping propane bottles out of the camping box, and snapped it in the weed eater, and screwed on the hose. I pulled the pull start twice, and she fired right up. Now keep in mind since it runs on propane, it's obviously a 4 stroke motor. No annoying loud screaming 2 stroke motor to piss off the neighbors.

The weed eater has decent power, and idles super smooth while you dig gravel out of your eye because you didn't wear saftey goggles.

So here's what we're going to do - We are going to give this (slightly used) weed eater away, along with a brand new weed eater that will be shipped directly from Lehr.

Also, we will do this giveaway a slightly different than other giveaways. Red and yellow star members can reply twice for 2 entries, and non-star members can enter, but they can only reply once.

Here's a a video of camo using the weed eater in front of the office. Note his flip flops (at least he is wearing saftey glasses!)

YouTube - Camo uses propane powered weedeater in flip flops

For more info, go to www.golehr.com

edit - * Lehr does not endorse or promote the reckless use of flip flops while weed eating.

count me in!

I'm terribly surprised it took this long for someone to hook up propane to a small engine. Those little bottles are handy and readily available....

I could use a new one to replace my electric one that i left outside the day it rained...like once i year i get rain and i forgot to put it under the patio

I definitely need this. I'm stuck using my old as dirt cheapy because the expensive Stihl 4-mix trimmer I have crapped out. I also have two old bottles of propane that I can't use because the grill that uses them rusted out.
