There are no Chinese or Mexican restaurants in your area?

Dynomite seems to have a pretty neat effect on dead whales... I would probably suggest using a little less for a horse though.

Found a dead deer in my yard once - dragged it out back and let the coyotes clean it up. Only took a couple weeks

We have disposed of several with my dads backhoe...

We didn't charge, but I bet some dirt work folks around could help you out for an hourly charge, if you have a spot to bury it, and there are no asinine CA laws preventing you from burying it...

Good Luck

There must be a rendering plant somewhere around you. Call any dairys or farmers for info. They usually haul it for free.

It's been a few years, but I want to say it was about 5 bills. They have to cremate them down here. Now, if it wasn't wintertime and you had a tractor . . .

Call a rollback wrecker....or a backhoe....or, if it isn't your horse, I would call the cops/animal control and find out why in the fuck there is a dead horse in your yard.

Oh, and pics or it didn't happen!

Also, if there is an exotic cat rescue nearby they might come pick it up.

when our horse died, i borrowed a Buddy's bobcat mini excavator, and dug a hole, and pushed the horse in.
Done and done.

1.) Go out and yell threateningly at the top of your lungs at it!
2.) Drop it at the home of your nearby 'threatened and endangered species' gal (pretty close, as I recall).
3.) Post pics.

It really shouldn't be that bad to butcher it and put it up for yourself. I mean, assuming it didn't pass due to West Nile or some other zoonotic disease that would result in debilitating disease for whoever ate it. But if I were me and you were you, I'd say you should go for it.

Had it done a few times for $200-300 depending on where they need to pick it up. If it's not yours then animal control should take care of it. I know a bunch of horse people and rescues up there if you need some names of disposal services.
