There is SO much wrong in this thread...

Please listen to the voice of reason here. To use ONLY one tire wrapped with sandpaper to remove the diamonds is wasteful and un-American. Turn the truck over on it's top being careful not to break the windows. Rig up a dry sump system so the engine will still get oil. Flip the front axle so the tires rotate opposite the rears. Attach sandpaper to all 4 tires and start it up. You DO have a sheet big enough to place a whole vehicle on don't you? If you have ANY questions regarding this procedure, please PM Camo and ask him to "do the right thing" to fix your account.

Dry sump systems are expensive. I would cut the frame where the bed meats the cab and flip just the rear portion over. Doing that and then welding the frame back together afterward will be cheaper than your method, and safer than flipping the whole truck over. Then get another car, flip it over, and use its front wheels for the other end of the belts. You won't need to do anything special because it doesn't need to be running.

If you haven't passed out from blood loss at that point, instert a wine bottle into your asshole, and have someone kick your ass. As a follow-up, I suggest you up the cholrine content in your swimming pool, then start drinking.

Just to make sure you've removed yourself from the gene pool, we'll dig your corpse up, grind it into sausage and feed it to DeiselMh. Once he's done with it, we'll rub your dogs nose in it, and finally throw it into a hole out in the Johnson Valley desert.

Seriously, dude, learn to read already.

I say cover it in dough and make sure to smooth it out with a rolling pin. Then heat the bottom of the plate with a torch or a really big oven so it will cook the dough and look like the top of a pie and completely smooth.

Advantages:
Smooth top
Garage smells like home made pie
Heating of plate with torch helps strengthen the metal
If you get hungry you can chip some off and eat it

Disadvantages:
Probably not N2Dirt approved, but he is a new guy and doesn't know much

All the hate makes me sad.
I think all of the methods mentioned would work and work good.
I do like the pie idea though.

How about wrapping the diamond plate in donut dough and frying it up. It would ad rigidity, smooth the surface and there would always be cops coming by your shop for a bite so no one could steal your junk.

Once they ate most of it off you could re dough it and repeat.

edit: you would need to use coffee in your parts washer though. Coffee will clean anything and keep the cops happy.

Cut the diamonds out with a plasma torch then flip them over, bevel them and the holes and weld them back in and grind the plate smooth.
