Need stuff moved Bay Area to Portland, end of May/early June - Pirate4x4.Com : 4x4 and Off-Road Forum

I'm moving and I have a bunch of shit to take with me.

The biggest PITA is going to be my CJ5 (which I'd like to sell before the move). Additionally I've got 2 cars, about 5 motorcycles, small garage worth of tools and junk, and a small 2BR house of furniture (a lot of it's not coming).

My plan is to rent a UHaul and car trailer for $750 for 4 days (haven't shopped around yet, but I'm told Budget is even cheaper). I think I should be able to get 80% of my stuff and Jeep moved with that. Then I'll fly back and my GF and I will drive the cars up, loaded. Or we'll take the truck and a car, drive back, get the other car...doesn't matter.

Can anyone beat that price or plan? You don't need to sign up for moving everything if you don't want to .

You might want to get prices on Uhaul. When I looked into renting one last Oct for my move from Eureka Ca to N ID it was going to be $1500 for 4 days.

Yeah the $750 came from UHaul. That's a 14' truck and car trailer for 4 days and mileage from Santa Cruz to Portland.
