Who can do it cheep? Anyone running empty one-way who needs to fill his/her truck to pay for fuel?

Sorry dude, Cheap's out of the question. @ 20,000 pounds, unless the truck and trailer come in under 6,000 that puts you over the maximum weight you can haul without Authority and permits. That puts you into the realm of professionals. Someone could try it, and would make it as far as New Mexico before they got hammered at the san jon scale. You need to call a trucking company. In three months, I'll be in business doing just that very kind of thing, so the laws are all fresh in my head right now.
You're looking at 1722 miles on the line haul. Expect to pay between 2500-3000. If you get it done for anything close to 2,000 you're a hero!
For me to do it with a gooseneck, I'd want 2500.
