All they did was set the body on a new chassis, great, now how do you get in the fucker with a full battle load out...
Would be great for off-roaders but would suck for troops...

It looks to be more geared towards under body blast protection vs just a lift kit

It's a OSHKOSH Tak-4 suspension kit with a HMMWV compatible chassis. Has a new CAT inline 6 diesel and transmission package as well. They're trying to swipe some of AM General's HMMWV retrofit business with the reasoning the DOD can use parts from MATV's and 7TON's.
AM General is sticking wiith the ECV 16,000 lb GVW HMMWV and a new HMMWV based truck the BRVO which would potentially as cheap as the OSHKOSH retrofit except that's a complete new truck for the same price. Those axles run about $20K a piece plus the engine/blast shields and drive train, I heard $70K for the retrofit but oshkosh is probably going to aim for 150K for that hummer. Not sure if its going to go anywhere but it looks like a neat suspension setup.

Those kits are manufactured by Fab-Tec for Oshkosh trucking co for a V shaped hull retrofit. Personally I dont like the MATV's at all, neither do most of my co workers, we're all more familiar with the HMMWV and I think these retro kits are the way to go
