I came to this site today looking for ideas for my new Jeep project but I thought I would check in with the Hummer peeps first. Here is my 2 door that I am pretty much done with until the 6.5 blows up. I had been looking for an H2 or H3 for my next project but my son chose a wrangler instead. After I'm done with the TJ I will be looking for an H3T.
Anyway here is my latest H1 project. It is my fourth H1 and by far my favorite. 17k miles on her now and due to its rarity... street queen only.

17in worth of travel and a 9000# rating per bag.![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Maybe holding out just a little. Didn't want to post it up before b/c it's not really a Hummer and I didn't want to offend the forum. But since I got the H3 I thought I could throw it out here and see what everyone thought. I'm definitely a fan of your buildup as well. I'm thinking I may have to do a similar build on mine in the next year or two...that is if you don't mind ![]() -Josh

that is serious flex with the sleeved bags!! I am using bags on my hummer (double convoluted) and love the ride/adjustable height -- though I have no where near your flex with the stock independent suspension set up. Love to see some more pics of it in action. Nice!

H3 search and rescue
Whenever photobucket decides to cooperate, I'll post a picture.
Hi, I'm from a small town near Seattle, WA. I participate in Search and Rescue. My rigs (yes, two) are set up with that in mind. My "normal" SAR rig is a 2008 H3 Adventure package with the 5.3. It's got 315 tires on it, and I built a hidden winch tray so that I could put a 9500 lb superwinch on the front (as you will see in the pictures whenever that happens). I have ranch 9000s with a inside controller. Inside, I carry CBs, HAM radios, and the normal 4x4 gear (extinguisher, winch accessories, jump box, fuel, etc). I also carry my backpack for days when groundpounding is called for (ability to work for 24 hours without anything else needed is contained in that). I also have a second rig, an 1983 Chev Banks turbo diesel 4x4 pickup, lifted, 33" tires, 3/4 ton, air bag overloads, G80 locker, 3500 watt inverter, 12,000 lb winch. I use it for extraction duties and when I need a basecamp rather than the capabilities of the H3 (I know this is hard to believe, but there are places around here where the only way you're getting there is by foot or maybe helicopter). Anyway, I'll keep searching, but I would love to find out how to disable the "only in 4lo locker control" and make it available any time. My future plans for the H3 include front electric locker, and rear detroit locker (then there will be no need to disable the under-30-mph issue) first H3 ![]() current (pre-mods) ![]() now with mods - can't find the wheeling pictures... ![]() 83 pickup (and one of my other, non-descript DDs)
