Red star, why?

Not sure how pirate works. Does some of the $ for the red star go to stuff like FOTR or the grass roots stuff to keep Moab trails open stuff Bebe?

Please advise!

You do have the ability to search now, so the above may be a little dated.

Pirate 4x4 supports the Rubicon in many ways.

The most important being...
It provides a forum for those who are interested to keep up on the latest information regarding the trail.

While I'm not sure if any of the membership fees go directly to the Rubicon, they do so indirectly via the forum.

Pirate 4x4 supports the Rubicon Trail and so we support Pirate 4x4.

Same way it helps all the trails, in the case of Moab, Tellico, and Paragon, the Land use Sections serve as a place for us to notify approximately 92K users....(if they read it)

We now have exclusive forums for Fordyce, Surprise Canyon, Johnson Valley and Tellico.

Maybe we should have a Moab section too?

Alex, it is how the site survives. Yes PBB is a business. PBB fully supports any and all efforts to keep trails open. Support the businesses that support our Sport.

I subscribe here, instead of magazines because the tech here is second to none, as well as we have some of the best banter on the net

Try it for a year, i'm sure you will re-up

Pirate keeps most of us informed on what going on with most of the trails and lets us know what we can do or sould do to help.

You will be hard pressed to find specific info and tech help as you can here. Once you get passed all the web wheelers and dick heads on the site you can use Pirate4x4 as a very valuable tool. Well worth the 20 bucks a year.

I echo what others have said here.. Pirate is a business, and its not cheap to run. That being said, I get lots of good tech here, and I am a vendor. Even if I wasn't a vendor, I'd have at least a red star to support this board.

Basically if you don't get a redstar, then there will be a Gihad on all things PBB..

So get a redstar or the terrorists win!!
