SAS a H2 or H3?

has anyone one done this yet? I searched google and here and aint found shit. So has anyone slid a solid axle under the front of one ?(other than the few HUGE show trucks I have seen) Or has everyone just been keep beefing up the IFS ?
just wondering as it seems like a prime candidate for one and a prime market for a company to offer one for.

IMO - a SAS H2 wouldn't be worth it...the H3 on the other hand would be the fucking shit...

at LEAST they tend to have a better ground clearance and a lower COG

When I had my H3 (for the short time I had it), I spent a little time around the front end: A SAS looked pretty challenging given the frame rail design in the front. Besides, the 3.5L 5 cylinder is a turd. The new 08 H3 Alpha with the 5.3L, that would be a fun vehicle, and if you SAS'd it, you do away with the tierod issues the IFS setup have... I suspect that it would have to be either a really tall beast or major chassis work to SAS a H3.

Guys with Hummer replicas do that all the time. Wait a minute, we are considered lower class .So why bother.

If anyone in Colorado needs a “test” H2 to develop a SAS PM me. It’s not a DD (i.e. you could keep it for a few weeks) and would get wheeled afterwards

I doubt that exhaust system would last very long on the Rubicon

This coming from the guy who drove a Liberty... pffft!

Actually it looks pretty damn well done. I'd really like to see more of the front end work. I see they put an Atlas case in place of the stocker. Wonder what else they did.

Yep... it was a diesel, pink Liberty... Gil

I'd run the heck out of that H3 with SAS and the Diesel motor. I am waiting for them to get cheap enough used then I will build one for giggles. My wife needs a wheeler that will fit three kids and gear. She's not happy with the long armed LJ.

I also own an Isuzu Amigo and a Grand Waggy, you gonna claim those are any less hardcore as well ?
It was a Diesel Liberty and the reason I got it was the H3 could not tow anywhere close to it or get the same gas mileage but it got lemoned

Now I have a 4 door JK as well, it has a solid axle in the front

sorry but that Hummer is sweet, right up till you get to the nostril looking hood

So a diesel Liberty gets better than 12 mpg towing 4,500 lbs? Cool. But no less

I don't know if Doc's ever got better then 12mpg towing...his turned out to be a turd which Chrysler ended up buying back. I understand the goal, but the platform was, well

Now, the H3 with the puny 3.5L (I had one for 5 months ) was definitely underpowered and still is even with the 3.7L. The new Alpha with the 5.3 would be fun, ought to tow quite a bit, still won't be great on gas.

Glad Doc doesn't have my address: no glitter bombs from you!

Not sure about an H3, but a while back I saw an H2 SAS'd on ebay. It looked like the owner did an alright job (except for some booger welds on the shock towers )

Edit: it looked like it had some rock rash from wheeling, so I don't think it was a show queen.

yes, it did I think I was getting 17 or 18 on the way down here from MD. It fully fucking rocked for power and MPG but the trans/engine not communicating got old quick

If it did not suck ass it was going to get SAS

The H3 engine is what turned me away from it and the H2 was too big/money for me.

I have a canyon pickup. Same chassis as the H3, although the lighter weight makes the engine fine It'd be cake to SAS it.
