rear H2 tire carrier

hey i saw a new H2, and it had a nice little tire carrier on it. it was stock OEM stuff. both of the D rings in the back is where the tire carrier attached. it was intergrated into them.

anyone know how much those things cost? it was either a 07, 08 H2 i saw at the lone star ralley.

yea, its like that, but its OEM, not aftermarket.

the pivot on the passenger side was casted into D ring assembly

the latch was casted into the drivers side D ring assembly.

If its factory then you can call the dealer and get a price or hope to find one in a junkyard.

They come up for sale from time to time on Ebay or the hummer forums when the bling crowd removes them.

That place he linked you to has decent prices on them... had the same idea as you, went into the Hummer Parts Dept, and was given an $1100 price quote on the tire carrier system...they are pretty beefy and a great latch design, also...pretty clean setup

If you can build that tire carrier/bumper (same quality latches, hinges, etc) and SELL it for less than $200, I tip my hat to you...I know when I built my rear bumper and tire carrier, it was well over $200 in metal, parts and most of all my TIME...WELL over...but more power to ya if you can.
