2006 H-1 Alpha question
Hi guys.
I have a 06 H-1 Alpha that's getting sent to China/Tibet. I need to set it up with a bunch of gear and do some mods to it before it gets shipped. I'm having a hard time finding a few things that I'd bet you guys could help me with. First of all I need a snorkel, I'll build one if I have to but it seems like someone's gotta make them. Second I need 2 spares wheels. Those are the only things I'm having trouble finding. The application is pretty specific. Any help would be appreciated. Predator has a few sizes of snorkels (there are less expensive options):
http://www.predatormotorsports.com/i...PROD&ProdID=24 Dave at Bluehummer or Travis ar Rubberduck will probably have everything you'll need accessory-wise: www.bluehummer.com www.rubberduck4x4.com You can get an older/cheaper alum 1 piece rim for the spares if you don't want to shell out the $$$$ for the new style. I think they pop up on ebay every once and a while but they'll go really quick...Blair has some used stuff on his site as well as the 2 piece aluminum wheels for about $4k a set (aot cheaper than the factory believe it or not!): http://www.usedh1.com/live/template....vailable_autos Cepek is the only other manufacturer of wheels made specifically for the h1 other than Hutchinson (who makes the factory/military rims): www.hummerproducts.com some guys use h2 rims on their trucks or as spares because they are so cheap and plentiful (and reletively light) but the center hole needs to be enlarged and they have to be modified to have ctis. The backset is also about 1.4 inches different so it may put more stress on the hubs/suspension components. I'm sure others will chime in here with more places to check out. How/where are you shipping your truck? I'd love to know what you are paying and the company/method of transport as some friends and I were thinking of doing it someday. rb |

I'm not the one who is shipping it. I'll post any info I can get though.
