buy new lugs from dave and he'll send you a socket to get the old ones off, then send it back when you are done. It'll cost you half what the socket costs.

Welcome to hummer/hmmwv ownership. Where one off parts will get you.
I'd do the blue hummer conversion and get a loan of the sockets. AM General / Hummer went with a custom 5 sided bit to prevent people splitting the rim while pressurized instead of unbolting the wheel. A good way to prevent that is to require a expensive socket.

I placed my order today for the hex nuts with Bluehummer Outfitters.
