Yes, the tape holds on magnetic shields that protect the paint.
Some use it, some don't. If I was playing around in the brush in a 70K rig that I might occasionally use for customer/client transport, I would want to protect the paint. I don't, and my rigs paint looks like sh*t

Yeah I made the magnetic shield from a role i bought from fast signs I paid like $90 for it. It saves me an afternoon of high speed buffing. I use the tape to keep the edges down on the highway. I think I went a little overkill but it was the first time I used it. I use this truck for business as I am a IT Staffing Recruiter. I constantly am lunching my employees and clients. On days when I dont have meetings I do not drive it. I am trying to keep the miles off of it as much as possible.
