Any '08-'09 H2 owners here who have previously owned older h2s?
Any folks here driving a newer H2? How do you like the 6.2L/6-speed and newer interior compared to the earlier models?

I've ridden and driven both but I don't own one.
I personally like the new interior, but the owners of the older H2's seem to lament over the new "Tahoe" style dash.

I have the older H2. I have driven the new H2 many times. The new H2 is much more street friendly. The interior quility is much MUCH nicer but it's styling is rather bland. It drives so much better. In fact if flat out MOVES. The power difference is VERY noticeable.
However...........It seems almost too nice to take offroad lol. I really like it allot. |

The new H2 is better off road then the old when it comes to water. They repositioned the tranmission control modual up higher so it is now rated fo 24 inches like the H3 vs. the 20 of the previous generation. The new H2 is also more battery friendly with power on demand at the switches vs. always having power (nice also if they get wet) Full third row gives you the ability to take a minivan load of people with you on the trail. Also the fact that the 6.2L produces more power and torque, and the 6 speed auto gives you a manual mode so you can control the speed using the transmission vs. brakes to control speed. With the new transmission you also get the steering wheel mounted paddle shifter for controling the manual mode with your finger tips. We took the re-designed H2 to Silver Lake Sand Dunes and it was amazing what a difference it made
