? about leveling H3T
My brother in law has an '09 H3T and he wants to level it out, mostly for looks. He purchased a Daystar kit with new torsion bar keys. He lives in houston so while I was there for a couple of days I offered to help him install the kit as I have done this several times on older chevy trucks. The problem we ran into was that it seems the torsion bar keys are installed reverse from what I am used to. It has been several years since I have done this but on all the others I have done you lifted the key up from underneath the truck to take tension off the bolt so you could remove the bolt and then the key. It appears that the tension on the key is from the top on his truck. It also looks like you could just remove the bolt without taking the tension off of it as long as you have the wheels off the ground. The pictures in the directions show that you take the tansion off the bolt from underneath the truck like I am used to but this doesn't seem possible with the way the H3T is designed. Am I just retarded or am I missing something. If any of you guys have done this some tips would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Matt |

First, there is no need for the re-indexed keys. At least on the H3 there isn't. There is enough adjustment in the stock keys to level the front end.
When I changed out my t-bars, I just lifted the front tires off the ground and loosened the bolts. No need for the clamp tool like on other GM/Chevy. |
