the H3 diff usually goes first. I have witnessed only one half shaft breakage on the trail but have seen many front diffs fail.

I have not broken either one in our H3 yet, but it has only seen mild trails. Nothing compared to what we've put the H2 through. I don't have first hand experience wheeling the H3 hard and so all of my experience with the breakages have been witnessed on other's rigs

GM changed the shaft in 08 or 09. They appear longer but not sure if they are any stronger

Have seen front differentials and torque converters, not seen any half shafts.

I had my first CV's changed under warranty at 80K miles because the boots were cracked.

I wheel a little.... I have never seen one broken on the trail, but I know others have.

I understand why you are asking, and I will suggest that a stronger replacement would be great, BUT it needs to cost the same or less than the OEM.

I'd be happy to test them on my H3T Alpha and provide a write-up. Not sure if I need to be in the area...and I just moved out of Chicago... I off-road regularly at Barnwell Mountain in Texas.
