Having Trouble finding a lift. H3T
Does anyone know for sure if the lift kit for the H3 will fit the H3T. From what Im seeing, the H3T rear springs are possibly longer, not sure, but the rear of this truck sits much higher than the H3. Its my fathers truck, an 09 Alpha. The motor pulls so much better than that I5. He had a H3 on 35s with the Rancho RealLift. He liked that but wants to go with 37s on the H3T. Just looking for a little guidance here. Its not going to be wheeled, but dont flame me too bad, its not my truck. Heres his last truck, This time i think Ive talked him out of all the chrome.

Edit: Put in coil spacers or crank Tbars or whatever the **** they use for front springs, and blocks in the rear. Why 37s on IFS?

I would contact 4 Wheel Parts. They should be able to tell you if they make a lift for the H3T.
If I owned an H3T, I would do a spring over in the rear, and put the Rancho lift in the front. That should work just fine. The problem with 37's is that you would also need to re-gear your truck, and the lowest gearset that would fit in the front is a 4:56. That's not enough, even with the 4:1 transfer case, with 37's you should go to at a 4:88 or 5:38. A PCM tune may help, but there is only one company that does a PCM swap, and I personally think they suck, as a company, so I won't even mention their name. Here is a pic of my truck with a spring over in the rear, and no lift in front other than the Torsion Bars being turned (23.75 from center of hub to base of fender) and replaced with sway away HD Torsion bars (30% over stock spring rate, which is higher than the V-8 t-bar spring rate). As you can see, the 35" KM2's are looking a little small these days

P.S. 37's are in my near future, but I have one more mod to do first

The H3 and H3T are Double A-arm/Torsion Bar in the front, and spring under in the rear. Adding blocks would lower it. Why 37's on IFS? Why not? Consider this your only warning, post up stuff like that again and you will be playing in the band.

You know come to think of it, if he has the Alpha, he may be able to get away with the 4:56 and 37's, but it wouldn't be ideal.
And I think Bully Dog now makes a tuner for the 5.3 liter Vortec. Find out if it will change the tranny shift points. You might be good to go.

Hey thanks for the help. Like I said, he doesnt wheel it much if any, and beleive it or not, he never regeared the I5 on 35s when he had it. This is just a look cool truck. Sorry If I offended anyone by posting this. Just trying to get some information on a new truck. By the way the spring over seems like it did wonders, is there a build thread for it somewheres, wouldnt mind checking that out.

Neither have I, but 37's would make it take off like a slug.

What was wrong with that post, certainly doesn't seem worthy of banning someone over it. And to keep the tech going I think with a V8, 4.56:1, and 37" would be fine for the pavement. |

as stated by everyone else...4.56's are more than fine for a street queen. there's a h3t locally on 37's and it looks sick.
