Skid plates are all fitted and ready to be welded tomorrow by Brian Tilton

I'll be painting everything Thursday and Friday night, then we'll be taking her home.

I brought her home last night

Had her out on I-80 and some curvy back roads. She felt great!

There are still some adjustment - but really it's little stuff in comparison.

The shocks need to be re-valved to add more compression, less rebound
The steering shaft needs to be adjusted out a teeny bit
Take some air pressure out of the tires

I know the one thing I will have to get used to is the new exhaust, it's louder than I expected.

Performance is awesome.

So how does it compare power wise to before with the 35s? Any issues getting up to highway speed and keeping it?

Getting up to speed is no problem at all, but holding it kinda is. We'll work on it

It has a lot more pep than it did with 35's, 5:13's help a lot.

I liked it a better today I'm starting to figure out the throttle. Issue is mostly going uphill, which there is a lot of 'round here.

I'm completely impressed. The fab work is top notch. IMO, a lot more thought and engineering went into this than another "typical" SFA build. I would be proud to drive than H3 any day. Congrats on a job well done. I'm looking forward to seeing some trail pics.

Hopefully soon! We ran it a bit out there, but were really busy with KOH and getting ready for LCQ...not much time for wheeling sadly.

It was amazing how many folks would walk by and say "Hey that's the H3 from Pirate", a lot stopped and asked questions. All of the response was very positive. Most folks were amazed at how much different it looked in person and how balanced the build turned out.

Thanks Jeff and Rick and all the other folks who helped with this build. As usual we have a bit of fine tuning to do, but it's going to be so much fun.

We will be in Moab the week before EJS with a bunch of friends. Keep an eye out for us

I drove into this at KOH. I was going to tire hump it but then I realized you weren't the one driving so I backed off. It was when my guys were spooling the rope on it over at our camp.
