Hi, yes you know me. If you're going to the Overland Rally in Hollister, you'll see me there
![]() I was thinking this might be near the Stampede Reservoir outside Truckee. My family has some property out there and I was wondering if it was near there. |

Projecting out after Moab - made a few changes:
![]() ![]() ![]() Took off the roof rack and rear ladders, looking for a few HID's and new light bar. What do you think? Here is the inspiration:

Well I just set down and read the thread from page 1 to 26....KILLER! IDK if its just me or what but mabey you should put the roof rack back on without the ladders and no "sides" on the "basket" and then mount your HID's on the front of the flat roof platform??? Just thoughts......
Really a great way to spend a few hrs at the inlaws....

I like it better without the rack, if it came down a bit it would like even better but that would ruin all IFS work from last year!

Don't get me wrong I LOVE the build. I just had some questions...
Why didn't you go with a solid axle swap at this point? Also instead of doing rack and pinion why not just a double ended ram? These could of been answered but I went through the thread months ago and cont remember anymore ![]() Love the look without the racks!! Sweet rig.

There is one guy on here who if I were to do an SAS I would do it like his, (RECON) that included the JK pro-rock 60's which were way out of my budget. Not to mention I was able to keep my Hutchinson bead locks, stock 13" brakes, Traction control and Stabilitrak systems, hubs and knuckles. Greatly reducing the cost of the build. An SAS would have required new wheels and brakes both front and rear, and with all the sensors and alarms, could have been an electronic nightmare. Plus, IMHO, this was a pretty cool way to advance the technology of IFS. We did something that can literally be done in any IFS vehicle, with any size axle, and run any sized tire (as long as it fits) lifted or not. (The combination's are endless) Steering was very important call, it had to be street legal and had to be safe. The original steering is R&P, so a box would mean additional and redesign, this was pretty much plug and play with an HD rack. I have over 10K miles on it this year and have had zero issues. It rides awesome, steers awesome, climbs, crawls and still does 85 down the freeway with no wobble or vibration. I couldn't be happier Well, until I upgrade to 42's and 60's
