weekend thing 3/2-3/4

Friday I drove up to Spanaway WA to pick up my new service truck.

Of course it wouldn’t start and the dually wheels wouldn’t fit on my trailer. So after messing that for a while finally got it loaded and started home.

Saturday with a new battery and some carb work I got it running, which is only for moving it around, that IH boat anchor isn’t going to stay in there for long.

Sunday I went to Major Screwups shop with some other club members and worked on our new RTI ramp.

Sweet service truck I spent a little time in the garage working on the scout. I got the rest of the misc stuff tack welded to the tube work under the hood. Now it is time to disassemble it all and weld it up so I can move on to another part of the build.

Shouldn't you have waited a week to fetch it, so you could hit the Moonshiner's Swapmeet this weekend?

I spent very little time on my Scout.

Did some block clean up in preperation for final engine assembly on the race motor.

Dboy and I found some old Binderbound technology to use on the rear axle of the Wife's race rig.

Saturday and Sunday the wife and I kicked major ass on having a yardsale both days. I come from a long line of yardsale having, white trash living, micro economizing folk so I have it down to a fucking science.

We made $723.00 for the MIL to use towards re-roofing her house. Most importantly we cleared a shit metric ton of stuff out of our house. The wife's art room is now pretty clear again and the garage is free of "most" of the big items. There is enough room to fucking walk around now...and that is promising.

After a couple of quick work trips I am going to knock down the 36's and bead locks and mount up my 39.5's. Just by doing that I will gain tremendous space back in the garage. Plus I might be able to get a couple bucks for the old 36's to put towards my rear shock needs when the time comes.

If I had time I would have had them dismounted and had BENW put them in his boothe at the upcoming local swapmeet.

Sunday I did some wheeling during slow times at the yard sale with the only IH vehicle I have that runs:

My wife and I had a house warming/birthday party on Saturday. Her family was down, so most of the weekend was spent entertaining. The party went great and I turned 31. I did get some nice gifts. Monday my Dad and I went through all of our IH parts we have around. We've got a TON of crap. Made a list and we're going to start getting rid of it.

Congratulations! Is this number two or six? I know the kids outnumber the Scouts...

Welded and watched my buddy weld. Got everything on the frame end welded on as far as brackets go. Slow and steady, I might get this thing done before the end of the world.

Been a while since my baby girl sat still long enough and quiet enough for that..

Just spotted Mark's Scout on Craigslist for sale in NW Montana..

Peace and quiet? What is that? When does that happen?

The 2 year old is NOT adjusting well to a sister. He really likes her and wants to touch and kiss her and just sit and watch her - but he is pissed off at mom and dad. He told me he was so "mad at daddy" he was "going to run away".... I almost fell over in laughter but had to keep a straight face as I was trying to talk to him about being 'good'.

But it is great and I am sure it will only get more rowdy around here as the months tick by.

Peace and quiet is a very relative thing. Its amazing the volume a 1 year old and 3 year old can put out.
