What, no weekend report yet??? 5/5-6
Its the end of Monday and NO weekend report yet? Man folks are slacking.
Saturday I hung out with the wife and kids. We bought some fuchsia baskets at the hardware stores annual fuchsia sale and enjoyed the [semi] nice weather, and put the finishing touches on the rigs new rear 1/4 skins. ![]() ![]() ![]() Sunday afternoon it looked like this: ![]() ![]() I had a REALLY good day of REALLY bad racing. Started 3, finished (officially) 0. Got some work to do by the 17th of next month. I got some crappy video that isn't very impressive I might post up later. I did however harvest this photo off facebook. I think it was one of the CRAWL photographers, or atleast she does photography for crawl. Some nice work.

I'm on the road again...
I reworked the power steering and put a new 3/4 ton Chev pump on and added a filter in the return line. This fixes everthing and there is no possible way for another power steering falure. Right...

Those 1/4 panels look good. Nothing scout related again this week. Watched my daughter do yard work as a punishment. She learned how to weed eat with clippers and how to operate the lawn mower.
Did some maintenance on the shop computer and listened to some DX on Hamshpere. Also studied some more for my ticket so I may some day work some QRP. |

Picked up my co-owned 1700 Loadstar on Sat.
IMG_1921.MOV - YouTube Also pulled the intake off my 4.6 Expedition to replace gaskets. After 6 different Auto Parts store and none of the gaskets matching what SUPPOSED motor was installed in my truck, I finally learned I had an Interceptor motor in my Expedition. From factory! I always wondered why I could smoke other F-150's and Expis.

Cleaned up the work bench then port matched my heads for the tbi swap. Still need to touch them up in a few spots, then do the intake. Got my new shock tabs in from ruffstuff. I also went and saw The Avengers this weekend.

Worked on the Chicken Coop.
My band HISTORY for SALE played a show at a local brewery's 3rd anniversary party. It was a great time. Rustoleumwhite and his bride came by and heckled from afar ![]() Worked on the coop some more. Working on the coop after work this week and am writing a blog about the thing as I go. Should be done with it this week and can get the hens out of the living room

Finished up school so I packed up and went back home to Commiefornia. The weather is pretty nice
. Decided to try and take off the doors on my 800 and got fisted. Those screws on the hinge to the body are such a POS design. Tried heating em with a torch, got my hammer impact driver out and still no go, so I might just get the saw out and cut the fawkers off . Im still gonna try to do what I think Dboy did for his summer doors and weld a bolt to the screw to get some more torque. Headed to the Pick and Pull today in search of some springs.

Heat them up until they are red/orange. Let cool, weld on nut and try it again. Need to keep the flame moving around so it heats up the whole screw and not just part of the head.
Scout wise, nothing. Need to get it trail ready as some trips are coming up fast.
