Ok I got my shock lengths figured out. Im doing some new rear shock mounts and would like to know what is an acceptable angle for shocks to operate normally and what is recomended. I drew a picture to help. take a look and see if you can give me a number in degrees that would fall somewhere into this picture. Also, on something like a chevy pick-up, one shock points forward, one points rearward. Is it ok for both of them to point forward or will it be a big deal? thanks.
My goal here is to try to lengthen my shocks somewhat with angle. if my shocks were vertical they would only be around 18" long with the truck sitting square on the ground. This doesnt seem like a long enough shock to allow for full articulation. I can get about 24" with some angle on the shocks but what is too much angle?
