Nothing hardcore its a little tough cutting this one up just yet. Found it in a field when I was sixteen and was my first ride. Its been an ongoing project for the past three years. Started with stock 152 T90 Dana 18 and Dana 27's. Snapped my 27 and found me some Dana 44's now locked front and rear. Got tired of the 152 and went with a TBI 305 700R4 and Dana 300. I dont know when I will stop building this one and move onto my Scout 80 buggy I have in mind but until then Ill wheel this as far as it lets me go.

New acquisition to replace one I gave away years ago. Custom non-split-rim wheels. Rebuilt BG240 (BD240 worn beyond use). Trans, both differentials, and transfer case rebuilt 20,000 miles ago. A good canvas to build upon. Intend to add HD bumpers, brush guard and full roof rack. . .and two more bench seats. One I used to have carried 9 people in comfort. This one is very noisy, but the old AM tube radio works and can be listened to over the din! Looking for a diesel conversion opportunity.

I guess I should introduce myself as I'm currently known as the guy that stole Drews avatar.

My name is Brad and I live in the wonderful Black Hills of South Dakota

My Dad and Uncle raced scouts when I was growing up so it is kind of a genetic problem.

The current fleet includes a 1976 Scout II affectionatly called the cow as it was originally built by a friend of mine who was a dairy farmer when he first started wheeling it.

now sporting:
AMC 360
727
np231 doubler to dana 300
HP 60 rear
dana 60 front
not alot of scout left but the firewall and front of the floor along with the full frame and front leafs

I have been co driving for my brother in a modified jeep scrambler for the YORR racing series for the last 3 years and recently acquired Mike Swansons old class 4 baja scout. it will be running a 360 amc with a th400 and dana 20. Hope to be race ready for 2013 in the stock mod class

and last but not least is my 1953 IH 300 utility

Mike retired from racing in the mid 80's and it ended up at my uncles farm where a tree thought it would be nice to grow up under, in, and around the drivers door opening. last year a wind storm blew over the tree and rolled the scout....

This winter it will recieve a full frame off rebuild in prep for next years YORR stock mod class.

It's good to see that it's being rescued. I've pulled several trees out of cars over the years, just not one quite that big! Looking forward to the build

Beautiful red paint job but strangely I find myself drawn to the white patina paint, nice work.

I got the International bug from reading posts here on Pirate and found one locally on govliquidation.

Its a 1978 Loadstar gasser with a flatbed.
Here's the truck sitting waiting for me to come pick it up.

I'm thinking to paint the truck a flat light grey or a flat desert sand with a white grill.
Thoughts?

Maybe I was going to use IH red, but ended up painting it the same color as the Mini "Chili Pepper Red"

I do like old Scouts with the weathered patina, but this old tractor needed to be red.
While registering the Scout:
DMV: What color is it?
Me: White, well sort of, is "rust" a color?

Nice
I thought Australia has some pretty strict laws on modifications?
