On the rear bumper, its angled up on the sides ~ I'd angle it more, then I'd angle it in the back. So its less of a shelf. Meaning, if you come off something, it'll slide up the bumper not off it.
I'm just talking here ~ but I'm looking at what looks like a 2x4 box area just under where the tailgate should be. Instead of having a 2x4 box, I'd angle the back edge so that its a 2x4 triangle ~ but perhaps you're planning a HiLift mount. Not trying to poop on your stuff. You're doing an awesome job on that thing. But on the trails I'm picturing, I think you'd really benifet from some more angling. Past that, I love what you've done to the body on this thing. Its going to be a great little scout when you're done. |

Thanks snoopy, I get what you are saying. I am hopping that by moving my axle so far back , that my departure angle would keep me safer. On the sides of the bumper, they are some what angled, but the tires will be well past the outside of the bumper. thanks again snoopy

Hey snoopy, Maybe the photos are not showing well.? You know it is dove tailed 13" and the corners are on a compound angle following the body. The angle on the face edge looks good but it would be much weaker. Don't give up I think you will like it .

I have been waiting for funding for my next adapter, so I just did some more body work. Since I sectioned the rear fenders , 4" when I moved them, I decided the fronts would benefit as well. It seems like a step backwords, but sometimes you need to . This will allow more room on the lower portion of the fender for back side tire clearance.

I LOVE this build. My deployment was a bust, so I won't be getting my atlas
![]() Keep up the good work, I think I'll be using your build as a model(not a complete ripoff) for my scout.
