Weekend report 11/15- 16
weekend started out great, took a shit in the middle and then came back around at the end.
Fri- Ran some shop errands, found a bargain discount store that sells rockstars for $1.29 a can. Slightly damaged, of course Got more settled into Team Fat Shit headquarters. I'm now the skinny, better looking member of Team Fat Shit Hung out with NonPirateScouter.Sat- Rebuilt NonPirateScouters steering box again cuz I jacked up an O-ring on the last rebuild. Major Screwup and I played with the diesel some more ![]() ![]() ![]() Yes, its shoved way back. The body mount thats under your feet is even with the last cylinder. I wanna build a trophy truck/class 1 car style center console. Insulate the hell out of it ![]() Went to dinner with NonPirateScouter. Played some board games. All went to hell after that. Sun- Slept in. Kicked around some crap, unloaded my scout. Figured out how to do it without hooking up the truck. ![]() barely clears the hillbilly set up from way back when on the farm. Its going away real soon... ![]() Got a free chunk of lexan from a buddy and got my new back window cut out. Gonna try and glue it in this week some time. How say you?

Fri: Hit the junkyard for a new wiring harness/ecu fro my fuel injection. The current harness had one of the ground wires pull loose in at the plug and tried to catch on fire...
Sat: Went down and watched the OSU vs. Cal game. Go Beavs! Sun: Did some duck hunting. Did some yard work. Not enough hours in the weekend... |

Oh, that dash wasn't my doing. I lifted that off of RDC. That's the big Oly trophy truck build. I just used it as a visual reference. Aluminium dashes are cool but carbon fiber is the current direction dash direction.

I really don't want to get into it. We'll just say that I have a lot of free time now.

Drove several hours to Munster, IN for a motorcycle engine. the plan was to build a new frame for it, but I am thinking go kart power.
Didn't do a damn thing sunday other than surf for go kart tech.

Hung around the house and got some home type shit done.
Searched for a local shop to rebuild my CTD trans, don't have the time or place to do it my self here. Other than that just tried to rest for the shitty week I'm sure this will be.

Didn't wheel.......Probably won't wheel for a few weeks to come, I'm into maintenance/ upgrade mode now.....Spent much of the weekend first pressure washing the turd so it would be clean enough to work on then did some repair work to a new(used) set of cylinder heads that I hope to install this coming weekend.

For a Monday it turned out pretty kick ass. Scored a part time job making 15 an hour. Just found out were going back to OT at work and.... I just scored a 4x8x3/16 sheet of steel diamond plate for free.
Damn its good to be a gangster.

I have been on vacation since Tuesday last week. It's the first vacation I have had for about 3.5 years, so it's been really nice. I have spent the majority of the time in Milton Wa, where my girlfriend's niece was being born. We had a great time seeing her family and hanging out with her friends. Got home Saturday night and since then we've just been hanging out and enjoying our time off. Going over tomorrow to Dad's to work on the 100 buck truck, wish me luck!

i killed shit
got word when my h1 rims will be here started welding in the new floor on my scout. Got the driver side mostly done. Once thats done that will tackle most of my rust issues... when i got tired of that i set my motor in and tried to figure out were i wanted to put my new 350 motor mounts. Needless to say i am along way from wheeling the scout. I went out and started my 72 travelall and got some mud on the tires but nothing my little ford ranger could'nt do. |

Built the front of my cage and will add more tube as time/money permits
I just have to plate/tube the frame side and connect it to the frame. I was going to do that last night but I got the parts for my FIL's Willies from Jeff. Almost done with that thing I want my garage back for Scouts ![]() Then night wheeled. DarrenY said "Lead and I shall follow" So after about 35minutes he could no longer turn right. Bigfoot came out of the brush (he claims I spit out a boulder we didn't see on the return trip) and turned his draglink into a boomerang. Hooked the winch to the draglink and babied it home under pressure. Also changed my T-19's oil but I have some kind of bind at steep angles that make shifting a bitch. I need to check all my mounts I guess. If I get too far that 304 will disapear and my 345 with off-road carb/ignition will pop in.
