Pictures of my old Scout for Pirate

Post pictures of your old junk and how it has evolved, thats what Pirate is about. If you own a Scout in this day and age, it needs to be updated, maybe a caddy 500 or four link. Point being junk from 1969 will not make it on this board. I have pictures from long ago when I thought I was all that with add a leafs and thirty two inch tires and then it was ton axles and 40" tires point is Scouts evolve or go to the crusher

On the early version your method of transporting your spare tire looks most unusual

Yes I do, POINT is to get you to show off your junk or your upgrades. Poney up and show me why your on this board I am fuckin sick of lookin at 1960s techOH by the way your build reimnds me of Rusty or a D&C build (pick the name)

Chi I fixed that in a build five years laterAnd by the way your Scout reminds me of project Rock Binder

what materials are your side doors and windows made out of? They are SSII parts you can get at any Light Line dealer, I would recomend IHOnlyNorth Jeff is a man of his word.

Jet,

What's up with your passenger front tire and rim? Doesn't look like the other 3. Kinda looks like a 22" rim

When I first got it:

Finally completed the SBC/465 swap & bought some bigger tires

And started rockcrawling with it

Painted it Green, upgraded some parts:

This is the turning point where I figured "I'll just redo a couple of things"

This is my version of "redoing a couple of things" I guess

how it sits today.

When I first bought the cute little thing.

Current state:

Most of the parts I scrounged up were from the late 70's and a few from the 90's so I hope it passes.

Here's my scout from about 03 I think. I'll have to dig for some older pictures later.

:edit: OK I had to scan this second one from a picture. It's about 96 or so I think.

This is pretty much what mine looked like when I got it, except for the tires and wheels.

Wheeled it some and those ninja trees had their way with my bedsides so I decided to chop it up.

Measuring for shocks and trimming

And the latest part to evolve, the 7" travel Ranchos it came with next to the 12.5" travel Edelbrocks it is getting

I have also added TBI.

It needs some tons and 40s but I am considering selling it.

Imagine a Scout II, no doors, no tailgate, a boom sticking out the back and trees growing up on either side where the doors should be. And the beginnings of moss growing on it. We had to cut down a tree to get it out. That would be the before.

After.

I did, and may still have, pics of my Scout in front of the former IH plant here in Ft. Wayne.

Yeah that rig went through a lot of transformations over the years. Had 38" TSL sx's for a long time.
