Just because it is insured doesn't mean it is supposed to be signed for. My .02, UPS guys make good coin and have a pretty hefty backround check. They have a secure job and good pension. I just don't see one risking losing that over 3 grand. Now on the other hand some guy that lives nearby and heard from word of mouth or read on a BB that a atlas was being delivered nearby and who was able to find out the recipents name and address may have been making a pass by the house every day until he saw the box on the porch. You have got your name and town listed every time you post, finding your address can't be too tough.

I don't know what your relationship with your neighbors is like, but it takes a strong theif to run off with a transfer case. Ask them if they saw a couple guys carrying it away, and see if they caught a glimpse of them. Regardless, that blows and best of luck in replacing it.

They dropped my four spd Atlas on my frt steps, guess I lucky. But who did you order it from, I got mine through Jeff at IHOnly just saying if you ordered it from a bumper guy it my all be a story. AA is a stand up company that will make it right, my case is bad ass, bummer is they have a lead time to build you a new one.

He bought it direct from AA, they say it shipped and became the responsibilty of UPS. I agree.
UPS says they delivered it and that Danny took responsibilty of it when they left it on his property and drove away. I dissagree. Not like any one has that kind of money to "lose" but this guy really didnt need for this kind of shat to be happening.

X2 UPS should be held responsible. I think it should be mandatory for them to have signatures on anything that costs over or is estimated at $1000 or more, even if you don't ask for it. If anything it would help them cover their butts, and eliminate a lot of lost packages.

Looking good, Id like to see a bunch more pics showing how close you are to the firewall and where the manifolds are dumping. Are you keeping the crank centerline at about the same height as the IH eng? I don't recall any other pics of a LS motor in a scout with the fenders off, the more pics the better

I don't think a Stak will ever work out better than an Atlas, lead times sux but theres a reason so many folks run them. I can't say enough about there service and my Atlas preforms and shifts flawless. There is no way UPS or FEDX can walk away from this if it was dropped on the step. I would be over there rasing 10 kinds of Hell until I was made whole ie. got my case and compensation for my trouble.

For mounts and $$6,000 later I got a transfer case. fuck ups and Advanced they bent me over and broke it off. but enough about that. I ended up with the 3 speed mine from stack. I can not say enough about Stack they treated me right. Here are some pix of it between the frame rallies.

Maybe to late now but you can contest credit card charges if that's how you bought it. I would definitely look into it!
On another note winter is over it's time to go wheel that thing, you have work to do.

That willl be my next mod too. It should knock some weight off compared to my doubler. The difference is I will order the CORRECT t-case that has the front output on the RIGHT side!

Its been awhile! This year has not been "easy" to say the least. But Im back and building like a mad man. We started to measure the frame for square and found the frame was very badly twisted and was also had several structurally fatal cracks. I decided to just build a buggy. I will be putting the front clip of the Scout on it after it I narrow it. Unfortunaly that will be the only Scout part on it.
I got the frame rails from Throttle down customs and I also got a bender. I know how F--ken critical every one is on this forum but I think this is good pirate form. I just hack, slash, scrounge and want to put a rig on the rocks.

Is it just me or does one of the frame rails have an extra "dip" in it.
![]() Regardless, I will be keeping an eye on your new buggy build.

What are the final dimensions of the frame going to be(how wide in the front and the rear)? Im guessing the rails were bent to your specs, how did you come up with the dimensions?
