Whaddya know.. got the pics off the digi-cam.
'68 800 "Oscar" w/ '75 SII 304/closeT19, stock 4.27 D30/44 combo, '75 SII grille, SII bumpers.. and junk tires on old 16" Scout/Jeep 5-lug wheels. Spent Saturday prepping and prepping and prepping.. PO had glued insulation and carpet all over the place so we were wire-wheelin' for a good while, then scrubbing down with TSP for a long while before we finally got to masking and the Acetone bath. 1 Gallon did the trick. $80 on sale, with another $20 rebate on the way. I added some Xylene to the half-gallon that was left over Saturday night and it was still useable on Sunday morning, so it WILL keep overnight. The brush, OTOH, won't. There are a few spots where the paint (not the Herc) is lifting on the bedrails. PPO's poor paint job I guess.. we won't address that for some time to come. I need to get MY rigs taken care of first.. and some dents repaired on hers. Tonight she gets to put the seats back in while I try to yank the tanks and get the new rollbar installed. Then I'm putting my 31x10.50 Mickey Thompson Baja HPs on 15x7 aluminum wheels on for her.. not enough bite for my tastes, but better than what's on it - and definitely gives it a wider stance. The roller worked out pretty well though - a few spots where it's a little "clumped" more than other areas, but nothing too bad. First coat didn't have a lot of rubber in it, but coat #2 did (and I used the power paint stirrer). The supplied brush didn't last two coats though. They give you two rollers, but only one brush - had to get of my old ones lyin' around to finish the job.

I deffinately plan on the Herc, I've done it to my 76 about 4mths ago and its holding up quite well... later
