What is with these places that want $400.00 pluse for a clutch????

Napaonline.com shows the disc about 69.00 and the pressure plate about a hunski. The last one I got for a buddy my local brake and clutch exchange was like 40 for the disc and 75 for the pressure plate.

The Napa I went to wanted to sell me the set for $ 421.52 !! What's up with that? they tryin to rip me cuz I got a V8? Nope the 4 bangers list for $123.26 (Dana Spicer)up to $462.12 (Rockford)

The problem is that there is 4 or five different clutches for every year. What do you have 11"12" 10.5"?

Well the Scout I'm working on right now is a 1976. It had a 11" / 1 1/4" X 10 spline disk.
My old one had a cracked pressure plate (rebuilding is out) The 3 parts stores I went to must need to make a boat payment. I can understand a little price diff from reg. to heavy duty, but $300.00 bucks worth is a joke???
