Question Harverster Question From a Jeeper

I am looking at a 1972 International 1210 rear axle for a swap into my jeep.
This truck has wrecker body on it and the axle is either a D60 or D70 Dually. Any one have information on the early 70's 1210 trucks??

No, you just asked on Labor Day Weekend when we're out wheelin'! (or, in my case, working on the shop and pittin' at a race for a change..)

Should be a '60. I'm not too sure about a 1210 *dually* though. Might still be a '60.

The Dana 70 Rear and IH RA-15 rears (both 7,500lbs) were in the 1300-series "1Tons".

I'm not sure if the '72 '60 would be 16 or 30sp 1.31" shafts. I know Ford changed over around 1975 IIRC. I've never had a 3/4T IH (just my '72 1/2T and my '74 1T )

Front would be a closed knuckle '44. Unless it's a 1310, then you'd have a closed knuckle '70 Front.

Thanks for the information. Forgot about the holiday. I am forced to work most of them so it's not a holiday for me. I will check the numbers on it. If it is a D60 30 spline that would be great. D70 in a Jeep is overkill.
As it is a Dually it may well be a 30 spline but I'll need to pull an axle to see.
