We pulled the engine out of the '71 Scout (came with a 3-speed stick) and are prepping it to go in the '76 (came with a torqueflite.) It doesn't look like the crank in the '71 has the boss for the torque converter to register in. Anyone know about this? Does the flexplate have the pilot for the torque converter? I'd hate to get the engine ready to go and then not be able to use the automatic!
I know this is a newbie kind of question - so bring awn the flames - But answer the question <IMG SRC="smilies/thefinger.gif" border="0"> Ritch
