Post Help on E-Brake Cables!!!

This s not for me, but rather a buddy who isn't online much...

He has a 14 bolt rear on a 70 scout, with a disc brake conversion using 76 eldorado calipers... There are no cables on the rear currently (somehow got ditched in the swap) and i was wondering if anyone with a similar setup has found a way to hook up some cables... If so, what type/model vehicle are they from? Thanks in Advance, HUGH

I have a TSM kit on my Scout, uses the Eldo calipers. You should be able to use the stock Scout cables and e-brake assembly. The only problem may be the amount of travel on the cables may not be enough to fully engage the e-brake. So it may require the fab of spacers on the calipers.

You can go to a rigging shop they can make a new cable and swedge on some ends, look under wire rope in the yellow pages. <IMG SRC="smilies/beer.gif" border="0">
