We have been sold out for quite some time. Last time I asked Bestop they had no plans of making them again. Supposedly Scout Light Line is having them made for us dealers but expect pricing to be well over a $1000. Recently another soft top vendor contacted me about making them and for less money but I have yet to hear back. Currently your only option is to find a used one unless some vendor still has one tucked away.

Found a post on Binder Planet, saying they are coming, looking at about $2000.00 without shipping. That's like 2 Scout II's or 4 Scout 80's!

The prices for the new tops Light Line is proposing is definitely on the pricey side. I had a hard enough time selling the Bestop ones for just under $1000 so trying to make a sale on these will be even tougher. I understand that these new tops are of better quality but they will be a hard sell in todays economy.

I personally think it comes down to the fact no one has them,so the one guy that is willing to make them are going to stick it in everyones ass,DRY!. I have a friend in florida with a 68 800 and found the old aluminum frame for the back, had a local boat guy make him a full top with tinted windows in the back and it's unbelievably nice for 375.and that's handmade on a bench in his garage. the hardware and frame wasn't great on mine,i'll be improving it with my own design and have it skinned.

I'd be willing to bet that if you built your cage, and got everything else in that area all done, and then made a bunch of measurements and figured out what you wanted exactly... You could probably get a custom one made for alot cheaper than that.
Just sayin...
