The wheel mounting surface to wheel mounting surface with spacers on my axle is 59.5".
And 800B I cut the frame in an L shape if you flip it backwards and clock it counter clockwise 90 degrees. I added 1/4" plate to where I cut then added in my spring hanger. then built 1/4" plate on the sides of the frame. then I added a crossmember in between the spring mounts for more strength then I added the brace on my mini boat side slider deal for a little more strength

I'll try to add some more pictures tonight.

Looks good... I chuckled at your glove box issue. I got lucky and had just enough room to get the A bar to clear my glove box door.

Just an FYI when you weld something remember the said part is still very hot. and will burn you causing you to squeal like a girl and may even spit out a profanity or two. just an FYI >

By mudmainac3 at 2012-03-25

oh and the best part about burns is that they keep hurting for quite awhile after you hurt yourself. :o

well got a little more done on the tunnel is basically done now just gotta add some paint

By mudmainac3 at 2012-03-25

I also built rear drivelines for the scout actually made 2 out of my old one out of my old toyota.
its 3" schedule 40 fits perfect

By mudmainac3 at 2012-03-25

its pretty thick stuff

By mudmainac3 at 2012-03-25

here are the 2 drivelines all done and welded up

By mudmainac3 at 2012-03-25

well decided to dive into some wiring today and got my tach put in

ok well I took my flywheel in to get resurfaced today and got it back this evening all done

By mudmainac3 at 2012-03-26

I also mounted up some reverse lights where the stock shocks would have mounted up. they fit pretty good. probably get messed up in deep snow or mud but we will see. not a very good cell phone pic but if you look close you can see them on the inside of the shocks

By mudmainac3 at 2012-04-03

Then I started to install my clutch and flywheel

By mudmainac3 at 2012-04-03

then fought the trans and cases back in which is a pain as a unit by urself

By mudmainac3 at 2012-04-03

I also installed my rear third and axle shafts. I had a broken one in for a roller and since I broke the third in the gf 4runner didn't want her to talk me into putting it into her truck so I put it in mine haha.

By mudmainac3 at 2012-04-03

Then I tossed the rear driveine in

By mudmainac3 at 2012-04-03

ok and with the nice weather I figured I would get some time consuming work out of the way on the front and I finally finshed my frame tubes

By mudmainac3 at 2012-04-07

Well to get the suspension done I had to jack up the truck and some how my floor jack grew feet and walked away so Highlift jack to the rescue but the suspension is to soft and I couldn't find a strap at first

By mudmainac3 at 2012-04-07
Then I had figured a way to make my shocks clear the frame just had to do a little notching on the frame

By mudmainac3 at 2012-04-07

By mudmainac3 at 2012-04-07

By mudmainac3 at 2012-04-07
Shockingly they clear

I saw that I don't know what I'm gonna do about it. probably just not worry about it and let it rub haha. May just have to pull the shim back out and deal with a not so great pinion angle but we will see. stock high steer for a toyota is smaller tube by about 3/4 of an inch but ohwell. I'll have to sleep on what I wanna do. probably end up with a smaller shim or none.
But here is more progress

well I got more work done today. completely finished the transmission tunnel

By mudmainac3 at 2012-04-08

I also remade my radiator mount even after I burn't myself

By mudmainac3 at 2012-04-08

then I installed it

By mudmainac3 at 2012-04-08

By mudmainac3 at 2012-04-08

I then I broke off the stock bulkhead connector for the wires into the body and I installed the engine wiring throught the hole worked perfect.

By mudmainac3 at 2012-04-08

My buddy painted this peice of my door so I installed it haha

By mudmainac3 at 2012-04-08

I then built my shock hoops for the front

By mudmainac3 at 2012-04-08

then I installed them and my shocks

By mudmainac3 at 2012-04-08

Now the suspension is completed

Looks good, getting closer Have you thought about a spacer to raise the tie rod for more clearance? shouldn't take much. If so, will the drag link contact the tie rod?

ok I'm set on getting this done so worked on it again after work tonight. I started to install the dash harness and discovered mounting the ECU will kinda be a pain in the butt but I think I figured it out just gotta make a mound for the ecu.
I also went and wired the tail lights forward past the rear shocks so I could remount my fuel tank for the final time. (I hope)

By mudmainac3 at 2012-04-09

By mudmainac3 at 2012-04-09
Oh and I also topped off the gear oil in the front and rear end so I wouldn't forget.
And people keep asking me why my scouts not done yet well its all the little projects that take forever like my winch.
Yes I could have just installed it but thats not the way this rig works so I had to do something to it so I customized it. bet you've never seen one like this before

ok went and did a little work this week bought the a brake master cylinder for a 1978 grand marquis with drum brakes in the rear not disc. also went and bought the clutch master cylinder which is for a 1985 dodge d50 it pretty much bolts up and has the same stroke as stock but has metric lines so will bolt right up to the 3rz slave cylinder. I also bought some oil so I don't forget the motor does not have oil in it.
Then I went to the steel yard and got some receiver tubing to make my front driveline. and got it all built ready for paint and install

By mudmainac3 at 2012-04-13

By mudmainac3 at 2012-04-13
pictures don't show it welded but it is as of tonight and it will just be temporary just to get it on the trail and then will be my spare.
well its the weekend so will definately get some work done on this hog.

oh and it definately is long there is 3 feet of square tube on each peice of the driveline. I will have to shorten it a little bit but not a whole lot. flange to flange is 46''
