I am running a 465/205 and it is still to fast in the rocks. If I could find a 465/203 I would double that but will probably end up going with a 350/203/205. There are no axle gears low enough to make a 465/205 work in technical rock. Just my $.02

We have a guy that runs a cj7 with a 465 and a d300( no terra low gears) and for the most part he keeps up with the guys running doublets and atlases. Not saying he does shit as easy, but he keeps up. And I am more comfortable wheeling a manual as it is what I am used to. I dd a manual and wheeled a manual when I was in HS (85 Toyota pickup SR5).
I am going to keep the 350/350/203/205 I have and build it up outside the rig as funds allow. But for now the 465/205 will get me back in the game. Then I will just need 100-200 bones for a custom chip for my TBI setup and I will be good for a while. |

I'm really liking your dash. Gonna steal this one from you. Cage and Tube doors are awesome also.

Drive train out, Making room for the package I received a couple months ago.
![]() ![]() ![]() Tonight I am going to separate the old Trans and Tcase from the motor, bolt up the new stuff and probably work on cleaning up the frame and getting rid of the whiskey tango motor mounts and cross member. |

Attacked the frame with the plas yesterday and some flap and cutting wheels. decided it would be more time and cost effective to just cut the frame where the old mounts were and then reinforce it with some plate.
![]() ![]() I forgot to get pics of it all plated yesterday, I can get some tonight. Here is a pic of the whole monstrosity bolted together. ![]() Everything fits pretty nice in there. We had it in place to check for where we wanted the motor mounts go go. The really awesome thing is none of the trans or doubler hangs below the frame rails so the skid/ xmember to be built can be flat. Motor should be in tonight on the new mounts. Will try to get some good pics tonight. Thanks again to Josh at Skinny Pedal for masterminding this shit, and really spearheading the elimination of the chickenfuckery. |

Suprises! Lucked into a pretty nice upgrade to toss in the chickenshit mobile which greatly reduces the amount of chicken shittery left.
You will have to wait and see though. For now, here are pics of the plated frame and the new AA mounts burned in. ![]()

Motor Trans and doubler are all in and sitting on the new motor mounts. we ended up notching the floor on the passengers side to gain enough clearance that we could stuff the whole drive train up above the frame rails and then be able to build a flat skid/crossmember support.
Here is the suprise that showed up yesterday ![]() ![]() Yes, that is an LT1 out of a 94 Camaro

Got Aaron's harness all built.
I build all harnesses to be a few wire hook up. I also add a fuse and relay block. ![]() Closer shot of the fuse / relay block. Its all weather tight. ![]() I also tune in house, TBI through current GM. I still recommend Wayne to tune modern GM though, I don't want to step on his toes. TBI, TPI, LT1, LT4, those are fair game since he doesn't tune them.

Optispark should be fine, we don't wheel in the wet. I am sure when and if it goes TU, it will get upgraded. But at this point the tight budget is better spent on other things like a radiator and fan, exhaust, and pices /parts forthe throttle linkage and TV cable, as well as shifters for the trans and doubler. Optispark is the least of my worries.
